I am buying these for the second time around, a size bigger because my son has grown out of the first set! During the beginning phases of potty training we used these + cloth diapers (nighttime), and now that he is in underwear we use them for naptime and nighttime. Sometimes the accidents wet through to the sheet, sometimes not. The manufacturer warns that they are not for nighttime use but they work for us! Highly recommended, especially for those who are hesitant to "cloth diaper," as they are as simple as they come.

After searching all over town and online I finally came across these washable training pants and they are the first kind that actually work! I bought these for my almost 3 year old son (37 lbs) and they are loose enough for him to pull down/up by himself and absorbent enough to contain a big pee accident if we don't make it in time to the potty. All the other brands I tried were too snug in the overall fit or they weren't snug enough around the leg opening and the pee would run down his leg and make a puddle in his shoes and on the floor. These seem really big and poufy straight out of the package but after a few trips through the washer and dryer they fit perfectly - still loose enough for little ones to pull up and down. I wash them on the hottest 'sanitary' setting on my machine and they come out beautifully. They have a waterproof layer sandwiched between the soft outer covering and cotton interior and they don't make any weird crinkly sounds. Be aware they will be a slightly bulkier under clothing (shorts, pants, etc...) but then again, these are training pants and not a long term solution. The designs are cute and my son is learning to "keep the animals/dragons/jungle clean and dry depending on which pair he puts on each morning. He really likes these big boy underpants and they have been a lifesaver while sending him to preschool during the transition to potty training. Don't hesitate to purchase these because of the price - they are a million times better than disposable pull up pants which are a waste of money since most kids treat them the same as a diaper, hence defeating the purpose of potty training.
