Only Slightly Better Than NothingJul 28, 2009
By K. Smith I bought these to use with my Safety 1st diaper pail with disposable diapers. They fit very nicely in the diaper pail lid, which is nice. And they smell good, a little like oranges. But they barely work. For about the first week, the orange smell is very overwhelming in the nursery. After that, the room smells like a combination of oranges and stinky diapers with the stinky diaper smell finally winning out completely by week 3. I guess they work okay, but not by deodorizing or neutralizing any smells. It just has a very strong smell in itself. There has to be something that works better than these things. I'm going to keep looking.

Easy and It Works!Jun 12, 2009

"why see?"
I use this product inside a diaper pail that I use for used kitty litter. And let me tell you, it works. I tried having my diaper pail go without for a month just to see and I definitely smelled odors emanating from the pail. I added a disc in and voila! No smell. There is a weird odor when you open the pail of oranges mixed with used litter. Not a problem and completely unavoidable, but I wanted to leave this reminder in case people thought the disc completely eliminates all smells.
DEFINITELY worth checking out! I use a new one every 3-4 weeks like it recommends, and it works beautifully.

Turns out I like itDec 30, 2009

Based on other reviews I was pretty skeptical about this disc but decided to try it anyway. When it arrived I was even more convinced I wouldn't like it because there's no way to attach it to anything--I assumed it had a sticky backing to it that you could glue to the inside of the lid or something, and it didn't. It's just the disc.
I have the Diaper Genie II elite and the solution I found is to slip the disc inbetween the blue refill and the white plastic of the pail itself (so the disc is vertical). I remove the disc and replace it anytime I have to put in a new refill.
Like another reviewer said, when you open the pail you can still smell poop, only it's mingled with orange. Kind of a strange smell, but it is a huge improvement over straight poop any day.
The one disc has lasted about six weeks. That's in the middle of winter and the pail is next to a cold outside wall. I'm sure summer temperatures would change things.

Love them!Jul 20, 2011
By SallyC These produce a strong, pleasant, citrus smell that gets rid of the nasty cloth diaper smell in my nursery. I love them and would recommend them to anyone!

LOVE IT!Jul 03, 2009
By sjmommie We use cloth diapers and my husband can't live without this product in our diaper pail! It is a strong scent while the pail is open but it becomes more mild once the pail is closed and over the course of the month. Much more refreshing for guests to smell this instead of stinky diapers!
